Biography
Dr Thibault Lafosse is a hand and upper limb surgeon at Clinic Générale d'Annecy in France since November 2017 with a particular interest in brachial plexus, peripheral nerve surgeries, shoulder arthroscopy and microsurgical reconstruction.
Dr Thibault Lafosse completed his training in Orthopaedic and Trauma surgery in Paris, and a 6 months fellowship with Dr Laurent Lafosse in Annecy, for Shoulder surgery.
He also did a travelling fellowship around microsurgery, visiting different surgeons, namely, Pr Oberlin and Dr Valenti in Paris, Pr Somsak Leechavengvongs, in Bangkok and Pr Kanit Sananpanich, in Chiangmai, Thailand
Dr Thibault Lafosse was a “Chef de Clinique, Assistant” (consultant) in Paris at the European Hospital Georges Pompidou, managing reconstructive surgery of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nerves & brachial plexus palsies, along with hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery.
Since November 2017, He is an upper limb consultant surgeon in Clinique Générale d’Annecy, at the Alps Surgery Institute founded by Dr Laurent LAFOSSE, performing hand, shoulder and elbow surgery. He developed a Hand and Microsurgery Unit, with a hand trauma center and is the Co-founder of Plexus Brachial Main Microchirurgie ANNECY (PBMA), where he focuses on nerves, brachial plexus and microsurgical reconstruction with his partners Dr M. Bouyer and Dr M. Loret. He regularly receives fellows and residents in their institution.
Dr Thibault Lafosse is also the author of more than 20 international publications
Since 2012, he participates to actions with the Chain Of Hope, following and collaborating with Dr Philippe Valenti mostly in Afghanistan, Iran and Jordan during which he operates on congenital hand deformities and obstetrical brachial plexus palsies.
